    Lisa���s practice focuses on immigration and international trade law. She advises on strategies for multinational corporate clients, small businesses and individuals. Her clients include hospitals and other healthcare providers, major global manufacturing and energy companies, nonprofits, religious organizations, construction companies, hospitality and hospitality service companies, agricultural businesses, educational institutions (both public and private), convenience store businesses, food service providers, investors and entrepreneurs, performing artists, professional athletes, families, and individuals. She assists employees of multinational clients with their employment-based and related family-based immigration needs, including consular processing, naturalization, worksite compliance and nonimmigrant trade, investment and employment-based visas, and timely counsels and represents companies with cross-border manufacturing operations before the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Lisa���s practice includes advising employers and negotiating with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on employer sanctions/worksite enforcement issues, immigration audits, security checks, immigrant and nonimmigrant waivers, admissibility, citizenship and naturalization, as well advising on individual immigration matters, including consular processing, removal defense and representation before the Executive Office of Immigration Review. Lisa has secured Conrad 30 waivers for J-1 physicians working in hospitals and healthcare provider groups in El Paso and other medically underserved areas.

    Prior to starting her practice in immigration and international trade law, Lisa gained over��five years of experience handling complex corporate transactional matters for the domestic and international Fortune 500 clients of one of New York���s most prominent law firms. Her corporate experience enables her to conduct due diligence on immigration compliance issues in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings for companies employing foreign nationals in key technical, managerial and executive positions.

    Lisa has served in local and national leadership roles with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), including as Chair of AILA���s national liaison committee to the Texas Service Center in 2014-2015 and local AILA liaison to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in West Texas, including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services field office in El Paso, Texas.
